My Shima Hair Repair Shampoo Results Review

Yesterday I used the Shima Hair Repair Shampoo and like always, I got silky results.  I've been using shima's products for at least 4 years.  My favorite product from her line is without a doubt the shampoo.  When ever I need a protein/moisture treatment I just use her shampoo and it balances my hair.  After using her shampoo, even though I didn't really need it, out of habit, I used a Leave In and a serum to seal.  The leave in was the Suave light leave in cream (with the awapuhi and ginger), and the oil/serum was the Garnier Frutis Marvelous Oil for frizzy hair.   I'm very happy with my results.  I've been moving slow on my next purchase, but I really need to get her 32 oz bottle of shampoo.  It last a long time and does a wonderful job.

Sorry for the yellow picture, but with my daughter out of town right now, I had to take it myself. lol..
This picture doesn't do the results justice at all.

My Flexi Rod Results After Using Dominican Magic Deep Conditioner And Moisture Lock Leave-On Treatment

This time around I had my flexi rods in for 1 hour and 30 minutes.  I used the Dominican Magic Deep Conditioner and the Moisture Lock Leave On Treatment. I swear the results I got from using those products is amazing. Once dry I applied my Flexi Rods I got from the Dollar Tree.  I'm loving the results.

My Dominican Magic Deep Fortifying Conditioner Review

I had seen a few reviews on this product and was sold on trying it.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the results I got after using it.  It left my hair extra soft, bouncy and very moisturized.  Today I'm 9 months post relaxer (haven't relaxed my hair in 9 months), and so far so good.  This product would be excellent for natural, relaxed and transitioning hair.  It really nourishes the hair deep within.  I'm so glad I gave it a try.  You can find this product on Amazon.  Next I plan to try the Leave-In.

Suave Natural Anti-Breakage Conditioner & Suave Natural Strengthening Light Leave-in Cream With Awapuhi Ginger

I received a sample of all three of these products in the mail.  At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to try them or not.  I didn't like the regular Suave Naturals.  Since I'm always willing to try something new, I decided to give them a try. First I tried the shampoo. After trying the shampoo, I wasn't very please with it. I'll try it again at a later date before I decide if I truly like it or not.  However, when I tried the conditioner I fell in love with it.  My hair was silky and easy to comb after using it.  Then I tried the  Strengthening Light Leave-In Cream. Instant detangling and it smelled so good. I did a roller set and let my hair air dry.  My hair felt silky smooth with lot's of bounce and body (It's always exciting to find another product that works so well on my hair, and knowing all I have to do is walk into Walmart or Target to get it is nice as well).  The next day I went out and bought the full size bottle of both the conditioner and the light leave in.  Looks like I have a new product line added to my regimen.  Suave has out done themselves on this one.

My Beautiful Textures Naturally And Babyliss Titanium Flat Iron

Today I decided to get my hair straight with the Beautiful Textures Naturally Straight kit, and by using my Babyliss Titanium Flat Iron.  I applied the Beautiful Textures Naturally Straight lightly on my natural hair as well as my relaxed hair.  My results turned out exactly how I wanted it to be.  I will continue to use the product because when used correctly, it's really good.  I set my Babyliss Flat Iron on number 35 which is perfect for my hair.  Tomorrow I'll post pictures of my finished results.

From My Video "One Of My Favorite Hairstyles"

It was so hot today I decided to wear a chignon.  My edges were a little puffy, so to control that, I added some Chi Silk Infusion, then sprayed a little water on my edges, then proceeded to blow dry my edges and nape with the Conair Hot Air Brush.  The item I'm wearing in my hair is called a Gale Barrette. It's sold at Mehandi.com . Here is the link:  http://www.mehandi.com/shop/barrettepale/index.html

My Review Of The Kanechom Goat Milk Conditioner

The Kanechom Goat Milk Conditioner has new packaging now.  It's no longer yellow.
I got a chance to try this product with both the Silicon Mix and by it's self.  With the Silicon Mix, even though the results was nice, it wasn't as good as when I used the Kanechom alone.  I'm glad I got a chance to use this product because it's been talked about for a long time.   As always, I did my roller set to get my results which was a half up/half down hairstyle that had lot's of bounce and body.

Products Used For My Banana Clip Hairstyle Video

As promised here are the hair products I used in my Banana Clip Hairstyle Video. Yesterday I conditioned my hair with the Suave Natural Infusion with Awapuhi Ginger & Honey Suckle. It's a new product that shocked me because it works just as good as my Dominican Products I use. Then I used the Suave Natural Infusion Strengthening Light Leave In Cream. What I like about the creme is that it leaves the hair silky and soft once wet or dry.  Then today  I applied the Aunt Jackies Curl La La leave in ( I absolutely love that stuff).  It keeps my hair so moisturized all day.  Then I applied the Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil Deep Nourish 5-Action Hair Elixir to seal in the moisture.  The two work excellent together.  When I did a roller set yesterday, my choice was the purple because the purple rollers give me large bouncy curls.   The brush I used in the video was a Denman Brush.

Creme Of Nature Straight From Eden

Right now I'm doing a year long stretch (meaning I won't be relaxing my hair for a whole year). At this time I believe I'll be 9 months post relaxer in about a week.  I have this relaxer waiting for my use.  Lately I've been thinking that I may go longer than a year, I'll have to see when the time comes in September of this year.  This relaxer is suppose to be much better, more gentle than the usual relaxer on the hair.  If I should relax my hair at that time, (in September), It will be exciting to see how much my hair has grown.  Lately however, I've really been looking at my natural hair, and at the moment I'm just not sure when I'll be relaxing. If my journey does happen to get tough, I'll be relaxing my natural hair for no more than 6 or 7 minutes just to loosen the curl (if it's very tight). So far, the only area I'm seeing soft yet puffy curls is in the nape area.  The rest are wavy/S shaped curls.  What's helping me through this stretch is my attitude twards it. Last time I only lasted 9 months and 17 days.  Stay tuned to see what I do next.

My Review Of The Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine is an excellent product.  Whenever I shampoo and condition my hair, I use this product to detangle my hair on contact.  When my hair dries, it's soft, bouncy and just over all healthy looking. It's a permanent part of my hair regimen.

Beautiful Textures Naturally Straight

I got a chance to try this product.  I was surprised by how hard it was to even find it.  All  the stores were sold out, and just couldn't keep the product on their shelves. When I finally got a chance to try it, I made a Youtube video as I used the products step by step https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hq19-l7bss .   On the box it says: The New Reversible Straightening Texture Manageability System allows you to go from curly to straight styles, without permanently changing your natural hair texture.  Whatever your texture... curly kinky-coily, wavy or frizzy, experience the ultimate in easy manageability and versatility. Go back and forth between natural and straight styles with unparalleled touchable softness, movement and shine. Reversible straightening that lasts up to 4 to 6 weeks and the maintenance system defends against reversion, fighting humidity so straight styles last longer. This product is suppose to work on : Curly, kinky-coily, wavy or transitioners.  I gave it a try since I'm 7 months post relaxer and I'm doing a year/plus stretch.

I did get very straight results, but I could have done without the coating on my hair. I found my hair was at it's best after my first wash because  of the coating left on my hair.  I plan to try it again at 9 or 10 months post relaxer.

Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil For Dry Damaged Hair

I was very pleased  to receive a sample of this product  in the mail.  After trying it, I had to immediately go out and purchase the full size product.  My hair felt so silky and soft. It had lot's of body and shine.  I couldn't find a dry patch in my hair after using this product. Not even days later.  It turned out to be a true winner in my book, and is now a permanent part of my hair regimen.  It's always so exciting to find a product that actually works for your own hair type. Garnier just keeps getting better and better.

My Hair Journey So Far To March 2014

This was the beginning of my hair journey in 2008

I had badly damaged my hair in 2009, it needed healing. I ended up cutting all the bottom off.
It was still damaged but I was working on it by stretching my relaxers and lightly trimming.
My hair was starting to thicken up but my ends was still see-through.
I was getting length but I needed thickness 2010
This was still 2008 I was learning how to do roller sets. I knew it was good for the hair.
This was the first picture I took in 2008, It was shoulder blade length in the back
This was a roller set in 2011. I noticed my hair was getting a little better.
Getting thicker in 2013 air dried hair. Braided for a couple hours.
My hair was looking better in 2013. Roller set
Now my hair looks longer. I'm doing a year long relaxer stretch and can't wait to see the results in Oct. 2014. This picture was taken in March 2014. I used the Creme Of Nature Healing Oil. This is a roller set.

My Crece Pelo Dominican Treatment Review

I read Crece Pelo means grows hair.  I like it a lot because it makes my hair feel strong and soft at the same time. It has strength to it. The product smells good. I have used this product when I felt I needed protein or moisture.  It felt like it gave both to my hair so I feel like I can use it at any time.  A wonderful product.

My Baba De Caracol Review

I just love this dominican product.  I'm on a year long stretch and I swear it's a breeze using this product.  My natural and relaxed hair is easy to detangle, and it leaves it so soft. I have soft waves and curls, no dryness here.  It's a permanent part of my hair regimen.

My Silicon Mix Bambu Review

This is my favorite Dominican product.  My hair could be dry as a desert and this product will balance it out.  I get so much softness, bounce and lot's of body.   I apply it to dry hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. I then rinse my hair, then add my Garnier Frutis Hair Serum to my hair, do a roller set, then air dry.
